Young Dalgety Bay family heartbroken at dog’s disappearance
A young family are devastated after their beloved dog went missing in Dalgety Bay.
Loki, a nine-month old German shepherd, disappeared from a garden in Hillside Avenue at midday on Wednesday, January 25.
Owners Ewan and Gill Baird have spent hours looking for their much loved-pet, and the couple’s two children, six-year-old Logan and Elliot, three, are missing him too.
Ewan said: “We’ve not really said to Elliot yet because she’s too young but Logan’s heartbroken.
“We didn’t want to tell the kids but Logan guessed and he’s pretty upset.
“The kids had a lot to do with bringing him up.”
Ewan explained that it was out-of character for Loki to disappear.
He said: “He’s usually given the run of the back garden and he always comes in when you shout on him.
“There’s a field and park area at the back so we don’t know if maybe he’s seen something and gone after it.
“If he sees another dog, he’s straight over there.
“He’s still a pup; he’s only 9 months old but he’s a big dog.
“We’ve been out looking for him.
“It’s not like him at all; it’s just really odd and I’m starting to worry.”
Loki is described as black and sable-coloured and has a full tail with a kink at the end of it.
