Police tackle speeding drivers after community meeting

  • Police in Dalgety Bay have been targeting speeding drivers after the problem was highlighted at the recent communit engagement meeting

Speeding drivers on Ridge Way near Rainbow Nursery was amongst the key concerns highlighted for action at the recent Fife Police community engagement meeting in Dalgety Bay.

And in common with the rest of Fife, general youth disorder and anti-social behaviour was high on the agenda of residents' concerns raised with police at the meeting, as well as speeding and home security.

The meeting was just part of the latest round of community interaction events organised by the force across Fife, which give local residents the chance to raise their concerns directly to local officers.

The next meeting for the Dalgety Bay area will be held on Wednesday 2nd March at 7pm in the Aberdour Community Centre on Shore Road - all local residents are welcome to attend.

My main complaint is parked cars during the day, east end, Ridge Way especially at the Moubray Road bus stop. There's a yellow line there plus a large no waiting sign and what did I see @ 0830 this morning ? Yes, two (local) contractors' vans completely filling the delineated bus stop area. Reported to community policeman.....who expressed his concern about speeding on Ridge Way ! No further comment.

Hi I live just off harbour drive and wondered does anyone else have horrendous problems with buses speeding up and down the road!! My house shakes sometimes with the vibrations coming from the road, I have complained to the bus company but recieved no reply! Just wondered am I the only person? Can't this road have a reduced speed limit especially when they pass Nisa shop, young kids run the gauntlet everyday, I would appreciate feedback many thanks all Graham

Buses going to the High School thunder along Moray Way South in the morning.
