21/1/2010Local antique dealers make explosive discovery
A family of antique dealers on Hillend Industrial Estate made an explosive find when they discovered a second world war grenade amongst a box of bric a brac.
Father and son auctioneers Robert and Alex Miller of Millers Auctions found the grenade - which had lain undiscovered in a box for nearly a month, and called bomb squad officers to deal with the potentially deadly device, which was handed in to the auction house on 18th December.
