Reminds me of my youth when all trains were 'steam trains' and we used to stand on the footbridge above the train to be enveloped by the steam - just for a laugh. That was in the village of Invergowrie outside Dundee about 40 years ago - I live in Dalgety Bay now - I wonder if it would still be a novelty for 'younger' children now or if the pastimes are more sophisticated but I wouldn't ultimately care - I enjoyed it (the days of 'The Railway Children'!) innocent, carefree and fun.
