Dalgety Bay Round Table

  • On your bike!
Picture the scene
So you have just had your dinner and are into the same old routine - a bottle of beer in one hand and the TV remote control in the other, stuck on the sofa at home and in a rut at work. Surely there is more to life that running 'wee Jimmy' to kiddies football and getting nagged to go and cut the grass?

Sound Familiar ?

If only there was something you could get involved in to have a good time, make some new friends (and we all know how bad we are at that) and put something back into the community.
Well there is!
Dalgety Bay Round Table is a small (but growing) group of men who meet twice a month for social events and activities which raise money for local causes. We are friendly and informal, with a good banter between mates.

So if you are male and aged between 18 - 45 then get in touch with us and give that sofa a well earned rest!We meet regularly in the Sailing Club, Dalgety Bay on the second Wednesday of each month at 8pm. We use these meetings to plan our forthcoming events, either social or charitable.

Have a look at our web site to see what's going on.

Visitors and potential members will always be made particularly welcome as Round Table provides an ideal opportunity to establish new friendships.

What kind of activities are there?

Typical activities we have done in the last year and have coming up soon include;
  • Go-Karting
  • Cycling
  • Working at T in the Park (with free tickets!!)
  • Edinburgh Fringe Comedy
  • Beer festivals
  • Monthly pub quiz at Bay Inn
  • Night at the horse races
  • Beer and curry night
  • Christmas Charity Collection
  • Football matches (hospitality)
  • National Sporting Weekend
  • Managing the Dalgety Bay Gala Bar

How does Round Table help in the community? The main aim of Round Table is FUN and meeting people from all walks of life, however, Round Table is also well known for organising novel fund-raising events which form an important part of its activities.

With an emphasis on local and practical help, service within the community must be fun whether it is managing the bar at Dalgety Bay Gala Ceilidh or doing the Xmas collection in aid of the local old people.  Dalgety Bay Round Table has assisted many National Organisations and local charities, either through financial donations or through the provision of free labour and help.
